Landline + Young Kids = Fun

Landline + Young Kids = Fun

Several months back, we wanted to get a corded landline for our kids to be able to call grandparents, aunts, and uncles; and as they get older, call us if they're not quite old enough for a cell phone and we're out and about.  It's been surprisingly fun to see how our kids randomly call us, often when we're at home, but also enjoy random calls with extended family.

This new Wiley WiFi home landline phone Kickstarter reminded me of what fun this has been for the last several months.

Our approach has been a senior-focused corded landline phone, because it let us print out pictures of relatives for our youngest, who isn't fully reading yet paired with a magicJack VoIP device, which cost $50 to buy and under $4 per month for phone service.
