The Acquired podcast is fascinating. I heard about them recently from a Cal Newport blog post about their growth, and I’m glad I found them. The Acquired podcast deep dives into the stories of companies, after doing a huge amount of research, so it gives you great broad understanding and you get to hear some of the morst fascinating parts of the company’s story. I recently listed to the Peloton episode, which I loved to hear about some of the personalities and big inflection points.
The have a sister podcast series called Acquired Limited Partners or ACQ2, which is focused more on the investing aspect companies. I’ve been especially loving their Venture Capital Fundamentals series of podcasts — such a fascinating broad overview of the VC world, and how it’s evolved over the last several decades:
- VC Fundamentals Part 1: Sourcing
- VC Fundamentals Part 2: Investment Decisions
- VC Fundamentals Part 3: Company Building
- VC Fundamentals Part 4: Portfolio Management
(I’m loving Pocket Casts as my new podcast app)
