I had the honor of teaching a class yesterday with a room full of incredible Veteran entrepreneurs as part of the National Center for Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP)‘s ADVANCE program for emerging businesses. VIP is an incredible organization, which offers different training cohort-based experiences for eligible Veterans to attend — I attended on behalf of my boss in 2009, and learned so much, and I’ve enjoyed returning to share lessons learned with groups over the last several years. For this recent session (click on the link below to view the presentation), I shared lessons learned on how to understand ways you can increase your business value, and then how to create a resilient organization that moves up the value curve.
The presentation shares our journey at Halfaker and Associates through acquisition, then discuss some significant enterprise value drivers, and then some recommendations and ideas on how you can build a company to pursue those value drivers.
